805: Open Side Saddle Versatility Class

Equestrian ➤ Horses ➤ Ridden Hunter Sun 17th Aug 2025

Riders must have attained their 16th Birthday by the 1st of January of the current year. The riders ability and turn out, and the way of going, manners and movement of the horse will be considered as part of the adjudication. The class will be judged as an overall picture of elegance presented by the rider and horse. Each rider shall give an individual show not exceeding 2 minutes which should include walk, trot, canter and extended canter. The horse will not be stripped or trotted up in hand. The class shall be judged from the ground (no ride judge).

Equestrian - Opening Notes

Exhibitors please note:

  • Numbers will not be sent out but can be collected in the Horse Secretary Tent on the morning of the Show.
  • Horse boxes and Trailers, please follow road signs and Stewards directions on show day.
  • it is a requirement for all equines to travel with their passports. 
  • Equine premises number must accompany all entries
  • While every effort has been made to avoid clashing, events on Show Day may cause classes to run late. 
  • Competitiors are asked to be on time.

Note: Juniors- Don't forget to look at Junior classes in other sections of the show

PLEASE NOTE: Rings will begin on time. Please be on time for your classes to keep things moving. It is up to competitiors to be at the ring for the start of their classes. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Horse riding is a dangerous sport and all competitors in ridden classes are strongly advised, for their own safety, to wear appropriate head gear which complies to up-to-date safety standards.
  • Exhibitors are advised to ensure that their public liability policy covers the exhibition of livestock at Public Shows.
  • On arrival at the showground the driver and one handler per vehicle will be admitted free. All other passengers must pay. 
  • Horse Boxes & Lorries only in Equestrian Parking Area
