€50 bonus will be awarded to the highest placed Registered Irish Draught and also to the highest placed thoroughbred, regardless of their placing in this class. Breeding to be included with the entry (eg. RID or TB) and passport should be available for inspection.  Competitors will jump a course of rustic fences not exceeding 85cms. The same rider must ride the horse throughout. Horses entered in this class may not enter the Open Working Hnter class.

Equestrian - Opening Notes

Exhibitors please note:

  • Numbers will not be sent out but can be collected in the Horse Secretary Tent on the morning of the Show.
  • Horse boxes and Trailers, please follow road signs and Stewards directions on show day.
  • it is a requirement for all equines to travel with their passports. 
  • Equine premises number must accompany all entries
  • While every effort has been made to avoid clashing, events on Show Day may cause classes to run late. 
  • Competitiors are asked to be on time.

Note: Juniors- Don't forget to look at Junior classes in other sections of the show

PLEASE NOTE: Rings will begin on time. Please be on time for your classes to keep things moving. It is up to competitiors to be at the ring for the start of their classes. 


 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Horse riding is a dangerous sport and all competitors in ridden classes are strongly advised, for their own safety, to wear appropriate head gear which complies to up-to-date safety standards.
  • Exhibitors are advised to ensure that their public liability policy covers the exhibition of livestock at Public Shows.
  • On arrival at the showground the driver and one handler per vehicle will be admitted free. All other passengers must pay. 
  • Horse Boxes & Lorries only in Equestrian Parking Area
